Serbia’s promotion of MOVE Week has taken off following a press conference held in Belgrade.
The press conference was a truly cross-sector event, with representatives from the Ministry of Sport and Youth, the Sport Federation of Serbia, Sport for All Belgrade, sponsors Recan and BIP, and Serbian company KEPROM attending along with journalists from print and electronic media, and national and local TV stations.
As a shining example to other companies, baby and infant product wholesaler KEPROM made a commitment to participate in MOVE Week with its own physical activity event.
Another event presented there was the Open Summer Festival, which will take place from 17-21 September in Sutomore, Montenegro. The hot tip is that the NowWeMOVE flash mob will appear there at an unexpected moment to promote the start of MOVE Week.
Marina Ivanović, MOVE Week National Coordinator in charge of Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina, saw the press conference and its outcomes as a great achievement:
“It is very important for people to hear again and again and again about us and MOVE Week. We already have a good network of sport organisations and clubs but still it is important to us to be ‘always there’ on the national scene,” she explains.
