MOVE Week Iceland’s National Coordinator, Sabína Steinunn Halldórsdóttir, has secured a deal that will see MOVE Week 2014 promoted by Iceland’s biggest supermarket chain and juice brand.
Netto supermarket and Coca-Cola-owned Tropi fruit juice have agreed to join forces and offer an “orange discount” on Tropi products in Netto stores around the country during MOVE Week from 29 September to 5 October. As orange is the signature colour for NowWeMOVE and MOVE Week, it seemed a perfect fit to promote these products together, Sabina explains:
“Linking MOVE Week’s orange theme to orange juice, both associated with something healthy, was obvious. As Tropi is the best known orange juice brand here in this market, I spoke to its Marketing Manager and they were willing to participate in collaboration with Netto.”
As part of the deal, MOVE Week will be advertised along with the “orange discount” in newspapers and Netto supermarket catalogues in Iceland. The advertisements will prompt customers to MOVE with Find Your MOVE tips in Icelandic and MOVE Week promotional photos.
Sabina says Netto’s managers are also keen to get their employees moving during MOVE Week:
“They are very pleased to participate and get some tips from me to show their staff members how they can move more at work!”
Coca-Cola is a founding supporting partner of the NowWeMOVE campaign, and Sabina’s efforts to engage a Coca-Cola brand at a local level bring additional support to MOVE Week from the global beverage company.
