The wait is over: MOVE Week 2017 starts today and the whole of Europe is ready to take the next step in becoming more active.
There are literally over a thousand ways to participate: from floorball to Nordic walking. Decathlons and marathons, swimming and cycling – all these opportunities are free and open to everyone.
In 2017, every country can choose when to implement MOVE Week in the timeframe of 29 May – 4 June according to their specific needs. MOVE Week 2017 is designed to remind people how easy it is to move. Most of the activities require little to no preparation and are suitable for people with different backgrounds.
This year, many events around Europe are also targeting specific groups. In Bari, Italy, some events are planned especially for people with mental disabilities. In Altamura, children with postural errors will train together with horses.
We support everybody in finding their own move and exploring new possibilities. MOVE Week is also a great opportunity to try something that you have never tried before. For example: have you heard of boxercise?
And don’t forget your friends and family! For example, has your child tried yoga for kids?
Visit our MOVE Week website to see all events, find the event closest to you and join the most active community in Europe!
