Malta was very attentive with the little ones during MOVE Week, and this year, the children aged 4-7 from all primary schools in Malta, got the chance to meet Bonnie and Blitz, two funny characters that are teaching them how to MOVE.
“One thing which is very natural for kids is dancing and making funny moves. All you need to do is to tap into this natural resource in kids with something colourful and attractive. In this video we showed them some exercise basics while having fun”, stated Robert Attard from Kunsill Malti Ghall Isport.
Bonnie and Blitz were “born” due to a good team work between Robert and Alan Pace from Fitschools, who joined efforts in moving children in primary schools, the fun way!
“This year, while discussing a private initiative which is earmarked for school children, I proposed to Mr. Alan Pace who is a fitness instructor, owner of gyms locally as well as a consultant on the setting up of gyms, to use YouTube as a medium to deliver part of his project in classrooms all around the country. He immediately liked the idea and set upon making it a reality. We then teamed up resources to produce the final outcome. Bonnie and Blitz and Fitschools are the exclusive intellectual property of Alan Pace” said Robert Attard.
During MOVE Week 2013, similar initiatives were developed, targeting children in all primary and secondary schools in Malta. You can watch the videos here and here.
Thank you Bonnie and Blitz for making physical activity so FUN!
